Summer Camp aims to make craft iced tea convenient with its liquid stick packs available in Peach Black Tea, Mango Oolong Tea, Jasmine Green Tea, and Lemon Yuzu Jasmine Green Tea. The product’s biggest advantage is functional: the liquid format mixes quickly and cleanly into water without the grittiness that can come from powdered drink mixes. Flavor-wise, the line delivers a familiar RTD iced tea profile, while the playful branding and low-plastic (99% less than plastic bottled products, they claim) positioning help give the concept a differentiated point of view.

Things to consider:

  • The box format is distinctive, but it does not immediately read as a beverage; the rectangular shape feels like something you’d see from a dried pasta or rice. This could create confusion- adding a beverage cue, e.g. a glass or pitcher of iced tea, or a product statement under the logo would be a straightforward solution.
  • Also, the front of the box does not communicate that this is a liquid stick pack. Some consumers could miss this.
  • While the flavors are familiar and enjoyable, the product may benefit from a slightly more elevated tea character to fully support the “craft” positioning. As-is, the experience sounds closer to a convenient ready-to-drink iced tea alternative than a premium brewed tea replacement.
