Melville, New York (July 12, 2012) – Catherine Armstrong, VP of Corporate Communications at Comax Flavors, was recently honored for twenty-five years of volunteering with the SCO Family of Services, an organization that helps vulnerable New Yorkers build a strong foundation for the future. Armstrong was recognized at their 23rd Annual Spring Fashion Show at the Nassau Country Club in New York.
Armstrong started her dedicative service to SCO as a teenager when she helped organized a toy drive for them through her church. Immediately, she knew that she wanted to continue her involvement with the organization.
“I enjoy being a part of SCO and sharing in their many exciting fundraising events, but nothing compares to seeing the accomplishments of the children and families that they are helping,” stated Armstrong. “The hard work and devotion of the SCO team has truly been an inspiration to me.”
The SCO Family of Services provides assistance and care to more than 60,000 people of New York– from homeless families to struggling teenagers, from families at-risk to disabled adults.
In addition to her charity work, she is a seasoned communications professional with over 20 years of experience at Comax Flavors, a major flavor technologies company located in Melville, NY.
