Brand Announces Scent Inspired By the Iconic Combination of Pepsi® and BBQ To Celebrate Grill Dads Everywhere With Sweepstakes & Sampling Events During Father’s Day Weekend

PURCHASE, N.Y. (June 11, 2024) – Just in time for Father’s Day, PEPSI® is introducing “SMOKED A Grilling Inspired COLAogne” in collaboration with Chef Bobby Flay. The fragrance, “SMOKED,” is the world’s first-ever COLAogne, designed to evoke the unmistakable scent combination of Pepsi and a flame-fired grill. With notes of smoke, spice, caramel, citrus and more, Pepsi has officially bottled up the mouth-watering aroma of a refreshing Pepsi paired with a sizzling hot summer BBQ, making this limited-edition COLAogne the perfect scent for any Grill Dad who spends Father’s Day weekend – or all summer – with a spatula in one hand and an ice-cold Pepsi in the other.

Pepsi, the “Official Beverage” of “Grills Night Out,” is the perfect complement to all grilling occasions, with its unique caramel flavor and bright citrusy notes that make every flame-kissed bite of grilled food taste better. Now, the brand is going even further, capturing that perfect taste as an intoxicating scent that will make anyone pine for their backyard BBQ. The brand’s first fragrance, “SMOKED A Grilling Inspired COLAogne,” is a one-of-a-kind scent designed with summer grilling in mind. It features notes of citrus, spice, smoke, caramel, amber, cedarwood, and more, perfectly capturing the joy of a grill night. To get your hands on “SMOKED,” fans must act fast as the COLAogne is only available for a limited time.

Pepsi and Bobby Flay want to give every Grill Dad an unforgettable Father’s Day weekend by inviting fans to participate in the Better With Pepsi Grill Dad Giveaway – grill fans can score a 50ml bottle of "SMOKED A Grilling Inspired COLAogne," plus grill dad apparel and grilling accessories. Starting today through Father’s Day, June 16, fans have a chance to win by sharing a photo of their "Grill Dad" in action on social media, tagging @Pepsi and #GrillDadSweepstakes. No purchase necessary. Open to all 50 US &DC legal residents, 18+ (19+ in AL/NE). Sweepstakes ends 6/16/24. 

SAMPLING EVENTS

Pepsi is teaming up with Walmart at select Garden Center locations in Denver, Miami, and Philadelphia, allowing fans to be the first to sample the fragrance and experience the irresistible aroma of "SMOKED: A Grilling Inspired COLAogne." Fans can look for sampling stations at these select Walmart locations:

Grilling, the current iteration of the #BetterWithPepsi platform launched in May, as Pepsi released two new flavor innovations inspired by summer grilling: Pepsi Lime and Pepsi Peach. Available now, the beverages offer fans a sweet, refreshing taste as Pepsi Lime and Pepsi Peach are designed to elevate the taste of BBQ foods, enhancing the bold, dynamic and smoky flavors created on a grill.
