Milo’s ranked third in magazine’s rankings of the Top 200 Most Loved Workplaces®, exceeding benchmarks in employee sentiment and satisfaction across categories
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., (October 3, 2024) – Milo’s Tea Company was named the third Most Loved Workplace in America today in Newsweek Magazine’s annual Top 200 Most Loved Workplaces® list, reflecting companies’ growing commitment to prioritizing employee sentiment and creating workplaces employees love. Milo’s exceeded the Love Score benchmark by 5% and excelled in areas like satisfaction with the CEO (11% above average), career advancement (12% above average), volunteering (18% above average) and among female employees (13% above average).
“At Milo’s, we are People First – and it’s not just a sign on the breakroom wall – it’s how we behave as a company and team,” said Milo’s Chair and CEO Tricia Wallwork. “We are a family business founded on love, and we have remained true to that loving culture during a period of massive growth and scaling from a local tea maker to a leading national beverage brand. All of it is possible because our culture and our people are the constant that will allow us to continue 10xing for generations to come.”
Milo’s Tea Company has been certified as a Most Loved Workplace® because of its People First culture and commitment to creating pathways for prosperity for its associates and the communities it serves. Milo’s offers great paying jobs and comprehensive benefits, like 100% employer paid health insurance premiums for associates and their dependents, 12 weeks paid parental leave, growth pathways for 100% of associates, tuition reimbursement and opportunities for associates to make a difference in ways that matter to them, through volunteer time off and self-directed stewardship funds.
“Maintaining and growing our People First culture requires intentional work at every level of the organization to help associates feel connected to their career journey at Milo’s,” said Milo’s Senior Vice President of People Ryan Faught. “We are obsessed with creating a culture of belonging, growth and accountability so associates are empowered to realize their full potential.”
Results were determined by Best Practice Institute (BPI), which surveyed more than 2.6 million employees from businesses with workforces varying in size from less than 50 to more than 10,000. The list recognizes companies that put respect, caring and appreciation for their employees at the center of their business models and, in doing so, have earned the loyalty and respect of the people who work for them.
“It’s inspiring to see the list expand this year to 200 companies, a clear indication that organizations are truly committed to creating workplaces where employees feel valued and connected,” said Newsweek Global Editor in Chief Nancy Cooper.
In addition to being named to Newsweek’s Top 200 list, BPI also certified Milo’s as a:
· Most Loved Workplace® for CEOs
· Most Loved Workplace® for Volunteering
· Most Loved Workplace® for Veterans
· Most Loved Workplace® for Young Professionals
· Most Loved Workplace® for LGBTQ+
· Most Loved Workplace® for Parents & Caregivers
· Most Loved Workplace® for Women
· Most Loved Workplace® for Career Advancement
· Most loved Workplace® for Wellness
Methodology
To identify the top 200 companies in this list, companies were evaluated and scored as follows: 50 percent of the initial score was based on direct employee responses to BPI's Love of Workplace Index® assessment. 35 percent came from BPI's direct interviews and written responses from company officials. The final 15 percent was derived from analysis of external public ratings from sites such as Comparably, Careerbliss, Glassdoor, Indeed and Google. Newsweek then conducted editorial research on every company before the final list of 200 companies and their rankings was completed.
