Tamworth Distilling, the rural New Hampshire distillery best known for experimental scratch-made spirits, is thrilled to announce the debut of Tamworth Garden Cranberry Cordial (375ml, 50 proof, $35), the latest addition to their line of Tamworth Garden Cordials – natural fresh fruit liqueurs with unparalleled taste and versatility. Available now, just in time for Thanksgiving, imbibers can enjoy this festive liqueur sipped on its own over ice, in a spritz, or in a Cosmopolitan! Better yet, it can be poured directly over holiday pie a la mode!
Tamworth Garden Cranberry Cordial ($35, 50 proof, 375ml) is made using fresh cranberry juice, cranberry concentrate, natural cranberry essence, sage, lemon thyme, sugar, and juniper berry. The spirit brings to the palate spicy notes of fresh cranberry and hints of zesty green botanicals over a tart cranberry juice base. With its sweet and tangy flavor profile, the low-proof liqueur contrasts and complements classic savory Thanksgiving fare from turkey to, creamy mashed potatoes with rich gravy, to stuffing and more.
“By infusing our seasonal liqueur with cranberries at their peak ripeness, imbibers can open a bottle of our latest addition to the Tamworth Garden Cordial line-up to enjoy the vibrant flavors of fall all season long,” noted distiller and biochemist Matt Power. “While it might not be possible to actually bottle the joy of the holidays, I’d like to think we came pretty close with our Cranberry Cordial.”
A true passion project for the distillers, the growing collection of cordials is the result of many years of R&D and workshopping countless flavor combinations and ingredients. In the latest release, nuanced local terroir shines in every sip thanks to the distillery’s organic on-site garden, lovingly cultivated by Power, which provides the botanicals used in the Cranberry Cordial including fresh sage, and lemon thyme.
With distillers committed to producing a garden-fresh product using only quality ingredients, Tamworth Garden Cranberry Cordial is completely absent of artificial flavors and additives. While many other cordials boast of being all-natural, Tamworth Distilling’s truly is – using juice, concentrate, and sugar to create a cranberry base, this fresh fruit liqueur is the perfectly balances sweet, tart, and bitter notes characteristic of the autumnal fruit.
