As one of the world's greatest food cities prepares for football's biggest game, PEPSI® is shining the spotlight on the beloved local eateries and flavors that make New Orleans’ culinary scene so famous. Pepsi is giving fans a taste of the Big Easy's best-loved bites throughout the weekend, with immersive experiences showcasing firsthand how Pepsi enhances the flavor of the city’s most crave-worthy dishes. In New Orleans, Food Deserves Pepsi™.

To fuel foodies from across the country ahead of the big game, Pepsi has tapped ultimate food lover and self-proclaimed expert in deliciousness, Action Bronson, to highlight New Orleans’ greatest spots recommended by the locals that know it best - from restaurateur Larry Morrow to Willie Mae's Scotch House and We Dat's. Between the Pepsi NOLA Eats Fest and the Pepsi Super Bowl Boil seafood competition, fans will get the chance to try more than 20 dishes from ten NOLA restaurants, paired with their favorite Pepsi products and exclusive crafted beverages - all without ever leaving the riverfront.

“The Pepsi NOLA Eats Fest is about celebrating the classic New Orleans flavors that have made the city's cuisine renowned worldwide. From Cajun seasoning to seafood boils, we’re here to spotlight the delicious dishes the city’s local restaurants have to offer on game day and beyond, and how enjoying them with a Pepsi unlocks even more flavor,” said Scott Finlow, Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo Away From Home.

“As we gear up for Super Bowl LIX Weekend, we’re excited to welcome football, food and Pepsi lovers to one of the most vibrant culinary cities in the South,” said Heather Hoytink, President of PBNA South Division. “In support of local restauranteurs and restaurant workers, we created the Pepsi Super Bowl Boil as a unique destination to celebrate the incredible offerings of the New Orleans food scene and the community it creates. We’re looking forward to helping settle the debate on the best boil in the Big Easy!”

The Pepsi NOLA Eats Fest will be open on Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM CT at Woldenberg Riverfront Park, where fans can experience:

THE ULTIMATE SEAFOOD SHOWDOWN AT THE PEPSI SUPER BOWL BOIL(Friday, February 7, 12-2 PM CT)

The Pepsi Super Bowl Boil, a tailgate-style seafood showdown, invites fans to watch two of the city’s favorite seafood boil restaurants battle for the title of Pepsi Super Bowl Boil Champion. More than a competition, the Pepsi Super Bowl Boil is a celebration of New Orleans’ iconic culinary traditions and culture, bringing people together over great food - that deserves Pepsi.

Starting January 13, fans can visit pepsineworleans.com/superbowlboil to vote for their favorite seafood boil spots out of select local restaurants, including Mr. Shrimp’s Kitchen, Peewee’s Crabcakes, Pra_LEES, Dee’s Xquisite Seafood, Melba’s Po Boys, Williams Seafood & Po Boy, Crawlins Seafood, and Dry Dock Café. The two finalists will compete live at the event, presenting their best dishes to a panel of judges, including NFL Legend, Super Bowl LVI Champion and 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year, Andrew Whitworth. Fans can score one of a limited quantity of free tickets to the event via the event website starting January 27. There, attendees will also get to cast their votes for the Super Bowl Boil Champion while enjoying the city’s best seafood paired with Pepsi, local entertainment, and tailgate games.

The winning restaurant will walk away with bragging rights, $10,000 cash and a “free lunch” day for their customers, courtesy of Pepsi. See official rules here.

THE BEST BITES OF NOLA AT THE PEPSI NOLA EATS FEST(Friday & Saturday, February 7-8, 12-5 PM CT)

Fans can join Action Bronson on-site as he makes his way around the Pepsi NOLA Eats Fest exploring some of the Big Easy’s best bites and Pepsi-inspired crafted cocktails. Ten local restaurants including Boswell’s Jamaican Grill, Joe’s Italian Bistro, Los Jefes, Morrow Hospitality, We Dat’s, Willie Mae’s Scotch House, Jay’s BBQ and more will be serving up some of their most-loved dishes, all in one place, and best enjoyed with an ice-cold Pepsi. With live performances from local talent including Mannie Fresh as well as brass bands, DJs, and more the Pepsi NOLA Eats Fest will be giving revelers more ways to celebrate during Super Bowl LIX weekend.

“New Orleans’ food scene continues to inspire chefs across the country, myself included. Coming back to the city to celebrate food and Pepsi during Super Bowl LIX weekend was a no brainer, and I’m pumped to help fans discover a taste of what the Big Easy has to offer,” said rapper and entertainer, Action Bronson.
