[Boca Raton, Fl] — The USDA has announced over $1 billion in funding cuts to critical food assistance programs that support schools, food banks, and underserved communities. The Local Food for Schools Cooperative Agreement Program (LFS) and the Local Food Purchase Assistance Program (LFPA), designed to help schools and food banks purchase fresh, locally sourced foods, will not receive renewed funding for 2025.
