Tip Top Proper Cocktails, the gold standard in ready-to-drink cocktails, is proud to announce the launch of the Kindred Spirits Series - a first-of-its-kind brewery collaboration project that reimagines classic cocktails through the lens of craft beer.
The series pairs Tip Top’s expertise in perfecting timeless cocktail recipes with the creative force of five celebrated breweries from across the country: WeldWerks Brewing (Greeley, CO), Holy City Brewing (Charleston, SC), Green Cheek Beer Co. (Orange County, CA), Revolution Brewing (Chicago, IL), and Creature Comforts Brewing Co. (Athens, GA).
Each collaboration transforms one of Tip Top’s signature cocktails - like the Bee’s Knees, Cosmopolitan, and Whiskey Sour - into a distinct beer release, blending tradition and innovation in a celebration of craftsmanship on both sides of the bar.
“We’ve spent years perfecting these classic cocktails, so it’s been a real thrill to hand them off to some of the most creative brewers out there and see where they take them,” said Neal Cohen, Co-Founder at Tip Top Proper Cocktails. “These aren’t just cocktail-inspired beers - they’re thoughtful interpretations that respect the originals while exploring something totally new.”
The series kicks off in June with a Gin Barrel-Aged Bee’s Knees Imperial Sour Ale brewed in collaboration with WeldWerks Brewing. A nod to Tip Top’s beloved Bee’s Knees cocktail, the beer is aged in gin barrels with lemon and honey syrups, juniper berries, and milk sugar. It will be available at WeldWerks and select retailers across Colorado.
“At WeldWerks, we’ve always pushed boundaries through innovation and flavor, and teaming up with Tip Top, a brand that shares our passion for craft and quality, felt like the perfect match,” said WeldWerks Senior Director of Operations, Derek Gold. “This beer is more than a drink; it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and what happens when two unique approaches to beverage-making come together.”
Later in June, Tip Top and Holy City Brewing will release CosmoALE, a crisp blonde ale inspired by the Cosmopolitan, brewed with tart cranberry and citrus. It will debut at Holy City’s taproom and select locations throughout South Carolina.
More limited-edition beers from Green Cheek, Revolution, and Creature Comforts will follow throughout the year, each offering a new twist on a classic cocktail. Stay tuned for style details and release dates in the months ahead.
