A sculptural drop that fuses street art, style, and collectible spirits—redefining what a spirit can be
New York, NY (May 21, 2025) – Dictador, the world’s leading Arthouse Spirit Brand, brings Game Changer to the United States – a category-defining rum collection designed by contemporary artist Richard Orlinski. More than just a product launch, Game Changer is the embodiment of a new spirits category: one built on diversity, distinctiveness, and cultural edge, redefining what it means to collect and consume ultra-premium spirits.
Following its high-profile debut in Paris, Milan, and Prague – three of Europe’s most influential rum markets – the Violet and Grey editions of Game Changer are now available in the US in finite quantities for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
“Game Changer is not just a launch – it’s a movement,” says Chris Spalding, Managing Director of Dictador Americas. “We’re introducing a new language for collectible spirits: sculptural, bold, and streetwise. This is for the bold thinkers shaping culture.”
A bold redefinition of what a spirits category can be, Game Changer pushes the boundaries of what’s expected. Dictador’s commitment to cultural disruption is brought to life through its collaboration with Richard Orlinski, the world’s best-selling contemporary artist since 2015, who has been a collaborator with Dictador since 2022. With Game Changer, Orlinski brings his signature sculptural style and Kong-head motif to the Dictador bottle, transforming it into a work of art—meant to be displayed, not stored.
“This collection is for the disruptors,” says Richard Orlinski. “It’s for people who express themselves through what they drink, wear, and collect. Dictador speaks that language.” Richard Orlinski’s globally acclaimed work sits at the intersection of accessibility and pop culture, his collaboration with Dictador redefining what a spirit can be – not just consumed, but collected, displayed, and admired.
Each of Orlinski’s visually unique editions houses the same highly crafted rum distilled from virgin cane honey and aged in American oak by the Caribbean coast. Collectors and imbibers will find a remarkable blend of rums, each handpicked from the finest American oak barrels by Hernan Parra, master distiller and third-generation rum maker. The result is a liquid boasting sweet notes of maple syrup followed by caramel on the nose. The complex notes are balanced by aromas of fresh orange peel and cloves.
The Dictador Game Changer collection comprises a total of 18 collectible designs, each available for six months or until sold out. The first two editions to arrive in the US – Violet (vibrant and energetic) and Grey (sophisticated and timeless) – are available now in New York and thirteen countries globally. New colors from the collection will be unveiled bi-monthly.
Dictador Game Changer has a suggested retail price of $160 (700ml | 40% ABV) and is available for purchase in New York at select stores, bars, and restaurants and available via Flaviar.com nationwide in limited quantities.
