DUNDEE, Ore. – September 5, 2025 – Argyle Winery is excited to announce that it will be hosting a 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Argyle Tasting House in Dundee, Oregon on Saturday, September 13 between 4 and 7 pm. Unveiled in September of 2015, over the past decade the Argyle Tasting House has earned acclaim as Oregon’s premier wine tasting destination. In August of this year, Argyle was honored as the “Best Winery Tasting Room” and “Best Oregon Wine” in Willamette Week’s 2025 Best of Portland Readers’ Poll, and in September it was named “The Best Tasting Room for Groups” at the Oregon Wine Press Cellar Stars Awards. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the redesigned Argyle Tasting House, the celebration will feature live music, lawn games and an “Art in the Argyle Garden” gallery showing of original paintings and photography created by local artists and inspired by the beauty of Argyle’s gardens. Showcasing a mix of Argyle’s most acclaimed wines, from méthode champenoise sparkling to single-vineyard Pinot Noirs, the event will feature multiple wine tasting stations, with each wine paired with a delicious light bite.
Founded in 1987, Argyle was Oregon’s first winery dedicated to producing sparkling wine and has played a pivotal role in the emergence of the Willamette Valley as one of the world’s great sparkling wine regions. While Argyle is famed for its sparkling wines and has been hailed as “Oregon’s best-known Champagne-method sparkling wine house” by The Wall Street Journal, the winery is also known for its Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs and Rieslings, and is the only American winery to have made Wine Spectator’s annual “Top 100” list of the world’s greatest wines in three categories: red, white and sparkling.
Located just 30 minutes west of Portland in the charming town of Dundee, the Argyle Tasting House offers spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas that invite visitors to gather and relax. For the 10th Anniversary Celebration, Argyle has partnered with Chef Dustin Joseph’s Biscuit and Pickles catering to create multiple food-and-wine-pairing stations, including one previewing the new 2015 vintage of Argyle’s renowned Extended Tirage Brut—a wine that has placed in the top 25 of Wine Spectator’s “Top 100’ list four times. In addition to the pairing stations, Trellis Mobile Kitchen will be onsite with additional food options available for purchase and guests will be able to enjoy additional still wines poured from large-format bottles.
“Though our roots in the Willamette Valley go back almost 40 years, the decade since we founded the Argyle Tasting House has been especially meaningful for our winery and our community of club members and customers,” said Argyle Community & Partnership Coordinator Cathy Martin. “Whether its providing a home-away-from-home in wine country for our guests or a welcoming community gathering place for educational, artistic and philanthropic events, The Tasting House has become part of the fabric of Oregon wine country. More than just marking the 10th Anniversary of the Tasting House, we are celebrating the relationships we’ve built and the countless friends we’ve made since opening our doors.”
Argyle’s 10th Anniversary Celebration is the first in a series of events that will continue through 2025 to mark The Tasting House’s anniversary. Other schedule events include the Argyle 10th Art of Sparkling Artist Reveal event on October 10, where three new Pacific Northwest College of Art student artists will take centerstage as their innovative label artwork is revealed for Argyle’s annual Art of Sparkling set. Argyle will also be hosting an interactive Murder Mystery at the Tasting House on October 18, and the Argyle Library Sale on November 15th, a complimentary one-day event where guests have the opportunity to taste and purchase rare library wines.
Throughout the year, the Tasting House also hosts an array of events that reflect Argyle’s deep ties to the Oregon arts community and its support of organizations that include PDX Jazz, Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland Opera and Portland Center Stage.
