Napa Valley, Los Carneros, Calif. – September 25, 2025 – Cuvaison is delighted to announce the launch of the Wine Tails Trail, a new Estate vineyard adventure designed for guests to explore the beauty of Cuvaison’s historic Tai Vineyard in the company of their canine companions. Blending wine, nature, and the joy of dogs, this one-of-a-kind experience offers a self-guided vineyard walk followed by a seated tasting of Cuvaison’s acclaimed estate-grown wines.
The Wine Tails Trail begins at Cuvaison’s Tasting Salon, where guests check in with the concierge to receive a map, boxed water, a disposable water dish for pups, and a lanyard with their dog’s name. The 0.8-mile walk, which takes between 30 to 45 minutes to complete, winds through Cuvaison’s picturesque Los Carneros estate along an off-pavement path with light hills and moderate exertion. Along the way, guests will encounter six QR-code stops sharing narrated stories about Cuvaison’s vines, history, and the wildlife that thrives on the 400-acre sustainably farmed estate. Upon completing their stroll, guests are welcomed to relax on the patio for an Estate Tasting while their pup enjoys a well-earned “barkuterie” of biscuits. The Wine Tails Trail is offered daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by reservation only, at a cost of $75 per person (includes the vineyard walk and Estate Tasting), with each reservation accommodating up to four guests, including non-tasters.
“Wine country has always been about slowing down, savoring life, and celebrating the beauty around us,” said Cuvaison President and CEO Daniel Zepponi. “Our estate is a serene and magical place. With the Wine Tails Trail, we wanted to create an experience that brings together two of our greatest loves—wine and dogs. “My wife Sherrie and I have walked this trail numerous times, with our three children, Jiao, Bobo and Little Dog, and I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to share this wonderful slice of wine country with guests and our friends in the community. It’s a fantastic way to explore our vineyard, connect with nature, and share the day with your canine best friends.”
The debut of the Wine Tails Trail follows a series of exciting new developments at Cuvaison that have elevated the winery’s stature as one of Napa Valley’s most dynamic and diverse tasting destinations. Recent additions include the unveiling of The VineYard, a casual, family friendly outdoor space for self-paced, by-appointment tastings when the weather is appropriate, and two striking open-air Boathouse Pavilions, offering private, elevated tastings over the estate’s picturesque pond. These efforts have not gone unnoticed: the recently named Cuvaison both one of the “Best Napa Wineries to Visit in 2025” and one of “The Best Kid-Friendly Wineries in Napa and Sonoma.” Together, these experiences highlight the beauty and diversity of Cuvaison’s Los Carneros estate and reinforce the winery’s dedication to offering something for everyone.
