NEW YORK, NY (September 25, 2025) — Today, SAVOIA Vermouth marks its fourth anniversary with Spirit of Savoia, a season dedicated to the culture of aperitivo and the people shaping its future. This year, the focus is clear: sustainability, terroir, and authentic Italian craft.
Aperitivo has become one of the most powerful trends in drinks. Lighter, culinary-minded, and designed for flavor without excess, it connects bartenders and consumers to a way of drinking that keeps growing year after year. Spirit of Savoia brings this culture to life with a program of experiences across Italy, Europe, and the U.S., linking modern bar practices with Italy’s winemaking heritage.
At the center are the two expressions of SAVOIA:
- SAVOIA Rosso: a 14-month oak-aged Marsala wine aperitivo inspired by Torino vermouth and Milano bitter tradition, with its bittersweet balance.
- SAVOIA Orancio: a citrus-spice aperitivo made with orange wine methods, bright and dry.
In just four years, SAVOIA has become one of the most awarded Aperitivo brands, achieving multiple gold medals across international competitions. This past year alone has seen it selected for World’s Best Aperitif (World Drinks Awards), Spirit of the Year (Tales of the Cocktail), and the coveted 3-Star at the Great Taste Awards.
The anniversary program kicks off in the Amalfi Coast at Anantara Grand Hotel di Amalfi, where Dante, New York, two-time winner of World's Best Bar (2019 & 2020), will host a pop-up bar on September 23 and 24. Roberto Bracco, Head Bartender at Dante West Village, will present a set of signature cocktails that intertwine Italian tradition with New York energy. The menu will serve Bergamot Garibaldi with SAVOIA Rosso and ITALICUS Rosolio di Bergamotto, the Negroni Bianco with SAVOIA Orancio, Sbagliato in Costiera, and a Strawberry Bergamot Negroni, each designed to showcase ItalSpirits’ portfolio through a contemporary mixology lens.
Following Amalfi, “Spirit of Savoia” will continue towards the end of October with a five-city European tour in collaboration with Barcelona’s Paradiso, voted World’s Best Bar 2022. Building on the discussions sparked at the annual Paradiso Sustainability Summit, the tour will take place in the UK, Italy, and Spain, combining trade masterclasses with guest bartending. Sessions will focus on practical sustainability in bars, from waste-smart prep and ingredient upcycling to ice and energy stewardship, and on how aperitivo culture can evolve with lighter, culinary-minded serves without compromising flavor.
“Four years in, SAVOIA has grown with a community of bartenders and drinkers who value genuine craftsmanship and natural products. ‘Spirit of Savoia’ is born to reflect the true spirit of this brand, inspired by the unique terroir of Italy, ” comments the SAVOIA Founder, Giuseppe Gallo. “From the coast of Sicily, throughout the canals of Venice to Europe’s most creative bars, we are celebrating the people and the practices that make this culture so enduring.”
