KIRBY, Wyo., November 19, 2025 –– Wyoming Whiskey, the state's first legal distillery, is proud to present the latest release, National Parks No. 5 Straight Bourbon Whiskey: A Tribute to the Tetons.
Inspired by the unmatched, rugged beauty of America, the National Parks Series echoes Wyoming Whiskey's dedication to championing natural landscapes alongside its partners. Previous releases include tributes to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Acadia National Parks. Wyoming Whiskey once again partnered with the Grand Teton National Park Foundation for its fifth release to create a bourbon that furthers the Foundation's ongoing efforts to preserve the Park's natural resources.
David DeFazio, Wyoming Whiskey co-founder, shares: "For those of you who've been following Wyoming Whiskey over the years, you're aware of our ongoing commitment to the preservation of wide-open spaces. The cornerstone of our commitment is the support of our National Parks. Over the last four years, we have made donations to Yellowstone Forever, the Grand Teton National Park Foundation, and Friends of Acadia, the philanthropic partners of each Park. With National Parks No. 5, we feature Grand Teton with a historic image by Thomas Moran titled The Three Tetons. This straight bourbon whiskey is five years old, bottled at 96 proof, and I must say hitting all the right notes with the flavor profile."
Made with only locally sourced ingredients, National Parks No. 5 embodies a richness that is made uniquely more complex by the extreme weather the hand-selected whiskey barrels endure. This whiskey blends deep, dessert-like layers with a touch of rugged refinement, underscoring the spirit of adventure and natural beauty that Wyoming Whiskey and this series represent. Bottled at 96 proof and aged for 5 years, the whiskey reveals notes of baked honey crullers, almond, and cherry liqueur, with a warm finish of cinnamon spice, espresso, milk chocolate, and leather.
Featuring a print of The Three Tetons, an 1895 oil painting by British-American artist Thomas Moran, each bottle embodies the enduring beauty of Wyoming's wide open spaces. Moran, known for his idyllic work of the American West, depicts the snow-covered Grand Teton Range in the distance, a hazy blue sky with wisps of light-filled clouds, and a glimmering stream surrounded by bold, tall pine trees. The original painting is now part of the White House art collection and has been displayed in the Oval Office for several presidencies over the past decades.
In conjunction with this release, Wyoming Whiskey has donated $5 for every bottle, totaling $50,000, to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation in support of ongoing efforts to protect the Park, enhance visitor experiences, and ensure its resilience for generations to come. This donation, in combination with previous support, has helped:
- Restore more than 10 miles of the Teton Crest Trail
- Enable 250+ volunteers to contribute over 17,000 hours toward resource stewardship and visitor education
- Engage 350+ Indigenous youth in the park, deepening connections to their ancestral lands
- Advance critical natural resource restoration and wildlife research projects that protect Grand Teton's iconic landscapes; and much more
David DeFazio comments: "Like most businesses in western Wyoming, we benefit greatly from the Parks and the economy that they create. And for me personally, the Parks enhance my life in countless ways. Our National Parks Series honors the Parks and generates funds that allow us to give back financially to them. With National Parks No. 5, we feature the Tetons. Our company was born in the shadow of these mountains. Literally. And the Mead family has a rich history woven into the creation of the Park. As a result, this release is personal to us. Obtaining a bottle of NP5 not only financially benefits Grand Teton National Park, but delivers a taste of Wyoming in every glass. I hope you like it."

About Wyoming Whiskey
Wyoming Whiskey, based in Kirby, was forged on a legacy of grit, independence, and pioneering spirit. The story begins with the Mead family, whose ranching tradition dates back to 1890 when Peter Hansen homesteaded in Jackson Hole. Over generations, the Hansens and Meads became pillars of Wyoming life, from ranching to public service. In 1996, Brad and Kate Mead took over the family ranch and later expanded into Kirby, where the Wyoming Whiskey Distillery stands today.
In 2006, Brad and Kate Mead, together with partner David DeFazio, founded Wyoming Whiskey with a shared goal to craft America's next great bourbon in Wyoming. The result is a spirit rooted in family, tradition, and the rugged beauty of the West. Using the finest corn, winter wheat, winter rye, barley, and water sourced from the Bighorn Basin, Wyoming Whiskey proudly showcases the state's natural and human resources. Every drop is truly made of Wyoming.
