Limited-edition charity bottles debut at Art Miami to commence a global centennial celebration
Napa, California — December 9, 2025 — As the 2026 centennial of Marilyn Monroe's birth approaches, Piper-Heidsieck Champagne stands at the forefront of the global celebration. As the Most Awarded Champagne House of the Century*, the House is renowned for its joyful and audacious artistic collaborations and shares a historic connection with Monroe, who famously declared, "To Piper, my favorite." Building on this legacy, Piper-Heidsieck unveils a new collaboration with internationally acclaimed British-American artist Russell Young at Art Miami. The MM100 event was hosted in partnership with Authentic Live and Haute Living, serving as the kick-off of the Marilyn Monroe centennial celebration ahead of what would have been her 100th birthday. MARILYN 100 showcased works by famed artist Russell Young in partnership with Authentic, the steward of the icon's legacy and estate. The event also presents a new, never-before-seen charity series created by Young exclusively for the House, featuring a striking portrait of Monroe, its most legendary admirer.
Young's diamond-dusted depictions of Marilyn Monroe—crafted through hand-pulled screen printing on linen—shimmer with texture, color, and sculptural dimension. The six special-edition magnums and six jeroboam bottles are individually signed by Young and encased within his custom linen artwork. Each piece features a Marilyn Monroe portrait rendered in his signature diamond dust and a custom-blended pink hue crafted expressly for this project, transforming every vessel into a tribute to both Monroe's legacy and Piper-Heidsieck's spirited tradition of bold celebration. This one-of-a-kind charity collection will be available for sale, and marks the beginning of Piper-Heidsieck's tribute to Marilyn Monroe's 100th anniversary of her birth in 2026. The house is the Official Champagne Partner of the Art Miami debut and proudly serves as the Official Champagne of Marilyn Monroe's 100th Anniversary.
Proceeds from the first charity bottle will benefit The Art of Elysium, a Los Angeles–based nonprofit that partners with artists to support communities facing illness, hardship, and crisis through arts-based programs—an organization close to Russell Young's heart and one he is personally involved with.
"Marilyn has a glow that never fades, and I wanted these pieces to capture that irresistible, radiant energy. The diamond dust adds a luxurious texture, while the hand-mixed pink color brings the artwork bursting to life. These bottles feel like sculptures—celebrations of her beauty, her era, and her enduring power to captivate. Working with Piper-Heidsieck, a Champagne house that embraces audacity and creativity, felt like the perfect collaboration for honoring such an iconic figure. It's especially fitting given Marilyn's remarkable history with the Maison," said artist Russell Young.
"At Piper-Heidsieck, we have always believed in the power of creativity to elevate Champagne into a cultural experience. Marilyn Monroe's connection to our Maison is one we are deeply proud of—not only as a flamboyant star, but as a rare female producer and creative force in an era when that was truly exceptional. Russell Young's evocative portraiture captures her spirit in a way that feels both timeless and electrifying. This collaboration allows us to honor her centennial with joy, beauty, and purpose," said Stéphane Decaux, CEO, Champagne Piper-Heidsieck.
The partnership reflects Piper-Heidsieck's affinity for boundary-pushing design and collectible works of art. Over the last twenty years, the House has collaborated with visionaries such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Miles Aldridge, Josh McKenna, Viktor & Rolf, and Christian Louboutin, creating exquisite objects of desire that blend luxury with creativity. The honorary bottles created to commemorate Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday build on this legacy and mark the beginning of a landmark year ahead.
As the world prepares for Marilyn Monroe's centennial in 2026, Piper-Heidsieck will introduce a series of special tributes and cultural moments, with further details to be announced in the coming year. Guests at Art Miami will also be treated to an exclusive first preview of a new 750-ml, limited-edition Marilyn Monroe release, set to debut for purchase in 2026.
