Root Shoot Whiskey (50% ABV, 100 Proof), an American Single Malt Whiskey, was named Spirit of the Year USA, Whisky of the Year, and American Single Malt Whiskey of the Year at the international London Spirits Competition! 

The award-winning whiskey is Bottled-in-Bond, aged for four years in American white oak barrels and bottled at 100 proof. It leads with aromas of cobbler and honey granola. On the palate, clean alpine floral notes breeze across the senses, finishing with an alpenglow of rich pastry, faint cocoa dust, and long, lingering bright-yet-spicy flavors. Root Shoot Colorado Peach Brandy Cask Finished Whiskey (49% ABV, 98 Proof) is a limited-edition collaboration with Peach Street Distillers and a celebration of two of Colorado’s iconic agricultural products: grain and Palisade peaches. Root Shoot’s award-winning American Single Malt Whiskey is finished in Colorado peach brandy casks from Peach Street Distillers, whose brandy is crafted from Colorado-grown Palisade peaches.

The result is a distinctly Colorado whiskey that layers the bright, lush character of Colorado peaches with the rich malt and spice of Root Shoot’s American Single Malt. Root Shoot 6-Year Single Barrel American Single Malt Whiskey (61.5% ABV, 123 Proof) is a bold, limited release celebrating 10 years of Root Shoot Malting. Aged for six years in a first-use medium-char American white oak barrel, the whiskey builds on Root Shoot’s award-winning American Single Malt with richer notes of dark cherry, toasted grain, cocoa and baking spice while retaining the bright botanical character that defines Root Shoot.

Featuring original label artwork by Loveland artist Mallory Cash, the release captures the view of Longs Peak from the Root Shoot malthouse window. Fewer than 50 bottles of this full, complex single-barrel expression will be available online. (SRP $89.99)

Root Shoot 6-Year Small Batch Bottled-in-Bond American Single Malt Whiskey (50% ABV, 100 Proof) is Root Shoot’s first-ever 6-Year Bottled-in-Bond release and celebrates 100 years of Olander Farms. Distilled from barley grown on the Olander family’s permanently conserved farm in Loveland, this limited whiskey was blended from five select barrels to create a layered, balanced expression of six-year American Single Malt.

Rounded with pronounced notes of vanilla, chewy caramel candy, dried cherry and baking spice, the whiskey retains Root Shoot’s familiar cocoa dust character. Its soft, nutty nose suggests leather, brown sugar and mascarpone, while subtle camphor and eucalyptus remain in the background. Root Shoot & The Family Jones Heritage Wheated Bourbon Whiskey (47% ABV, 94 Proof) marks Root Shoot’s debut in bourbon. This 4-Year aged single barrel is made entirely from grains grown on the Olander family farm, featuring a grain bill of 75% Abenaki heritage corn, 15% Oland heritage wheat and 10% Root Shoot Light Munich malt. Malted by Root Shoot Malting and distilled and aged by The Family Jones Distillery in Loveland, it’s a distinctly Colorado bourbon showcasing heritage grain and the farm that grew it.
