Review: Black Cherry

In its colorful 16 oz. can, Black Cherry Blox tastes a lot like a carbonated soft drink and not so much like an energy drink. There is absolutely no "energy" flavor and, as we've said many times before, we think that this will negatively impact the perceived functionality of this product. The flavor is sweet with a flavor that we'd consider "cherry" rather than "black cherry" and the finish is a bit syrupy. The Blox is decorated with bright colors and the BLOX character, who is constructed from blocks. We're not sure what the BLOX brand is supposed to mean, but to us, we associate blocks with children as they have a rather harmless image. This innocuous image is really the best thing that BLOX has going for it. Otherwise, this product basically feels like a tall can of pop.
