Review: Coffee-Tea Blend Vanilla

The Vanilla flavor of Sweet Leaf’s coffee-tea blend starts with the same base as its “Original Sweet” counterpart, but also features French vanilla flavoring. While the Original was somewhat balanced, this product isn’t. Instead, you get a sharp hit of vanilla flavoring and sweetness that overpowers the other flavors in the product. To that end, the vanilla flavoring might work with the coffee, but it definitely does not work with the tea (we’ll pass on French vanilla tea if we ever come across it). From our perspective, the fact that there isn’t even a workable secondary flavor proves the point that mixing tea and coffee is not necessarily the best of ideas. Visually, our feelings are the same as they are for the Original flavor: it looks nice, but coffee seems out of place for the brand. Overall, we’re not sold on this product.
