BevNET Review: A very strange tasting cola. This beverage tastes like root beer mixed with cola or, according to others, like a chocolate cola. Either way, Royal Crown Premium Draft cola has a very thick and original taste to it. We here at the BevNET! enjoyed this beverage. A very high quality beverage! It is definitely worth trying if you are sick of the traditional colas that are available.

The best Cola I ever tasted. Too bad it isn't sold in the US, but I have found an alternative that is very similar. Chai Cola natural brew. I've only seen it in a couple of places, but I think I picked up my last 4 pk at BevMo

Best cola I've had

This draft cola is amazing. I used to buy a few four packs every week back in my studying days. I've since cut back. You can buy it in most supermarkets in NZ. So just make a trip over.

I also loved this cola, I must have put a six pack plus one bottle for future consumption away, & forgot about it until today when I found it. What a great find!!! I wonder if it is still drinkable. Any comments. John

I love this cola - I like to keep a 4 pack in the pantry at all times. Oh, by the way - did I mention that it is still available widely in New Zealand! The product originally arrived in NZ from the US in the 90s, but it was quite quickly changed for the version produced in Australia by Bundaberg. It was supposed to be the same, but there was a subtle tast difference - and slightly smaller bottles. The product faded away a couple of years ago from all but a few supermarkets - but it is back now in most supermakets with a vengeance. So if you want to avail yourself of this taste experience again, you'll need to come for a visit downunder!

The Bestest of the Best

I absolutely loved this cola. Every once in a while I check again online to see if there is any way to acquire it. I would drink pretty much nothing else if it were available. One year my Grandmother was visiting from MS. So I had a revelation: I gave her a bottle saying, "Try this, it may taste familiar..." She loved it.

this was a superb cola product that had a definite kola nut taste, and the use of pure cane juice gave it it's smooth texture. let's get a petition together:) this product deserves a second chance. i guess they were, before their time"

I tried this soft drink in the latter 90's in central Iowa. This product was unique all around. The taste, the packaging, and even the ingredients were unique. The taste was amazing, a totally different type of cola. The cola while short lived in Iowa, or wherever, was packaged in a brown glass bottle, that resembled a beer bottle, which just added to the unique qualities. And finally, instead of using high fructose corn syrup and / or sugar, Royal Crown Premium Draft Soda used pure sugar-cane, adding to its unique taste. In a world filled with soft drinks trying to mimic other things, Royal Crown came out with a unique product, and sadly it was short lived. I'm glad I was one of the lucky ones to have tried its amazingly unique taste. If Tab can make its way back as a energy drink, who knows, maybe the people at Cadbury Schweppes will let Royal Crown Premium Draft Cola breathe again!

The best Cola going...or at least it was. Bought many, many cases of it back in the late '90's when they were blowing them out for $1 a six pack. Still have some for a periodic taste. Had one today. Great cola that RC did not seem to give a chance.
