Is the “American Kitchen” the next growth engine for craft beer? People aren’t just enjoying beer; they’re crafting it fresh, on demand, with remarkable ease. Pinter is redefining the at-home beer experience as one of the most unique and satisfying ways to enjoy craft-quality brews without ever leaving the house.
Paul Benner, U.S. CEO of Pinter, captures it perfectly: “We’re not here to replace craft, we’re here to make it personal. Fresh. Yours. Right on tap from your fridge.”
Pinter entered the U.S. market in early 2024 (with full rollout around the holidays), but its growth has been nothing short of explosive. Benner shares, “We will likely sell 100,000+ Pinter machines in the US in 2026, along with half a million brewing kits. That is somewhere around 7 million pints of beer!” Globally, the company has surpassed 200,000 customers and millions of pints tapped, with massive momentum in the States driving nearly 1000% YOY growth.
This surge isn’t coming from traditional homebrewers. A recent customer survey revealed that less than 10% of Pinter users had ever tried homebrewing before. “That tells us there’s a large population of customers who would love to make beer themselves, but for one or more reasons, have not given it a try, until Pinter,” Benner explains. Whether it is the initial expense, the required footprint, the time commitment or the quality of the finished product, there are real barriers keeping people from making beer at home. “We have engineered out all of those barriers,” adds Benner.
The device keeps things beautifully simple: a compact, fridge-friendly, all-in-one system. Choose from around 25 beer styles: lagers, IPAs, dark ales, seasonals, plus seltzers and ciders. All raw materials come ready to mix in each Pinter Pack (malt extract, hop oils, appropriate yeast); simply ferment for 5-7 days, chill for 5-7 days, then tap fresh beer. Each batch delivers about 12 pints of consistent, great-tasting draft beer at home, averaging around $3 per pint.
Why the rapid takeoff? It perfectly aligns with three dominant U.S. trends: heavy investment in at-home experiences (patios, second fridges, backyard grills, smoking meats), the DIY hobby boom (garage builds, craft projects), and the rise of direct-to-consumer shopping. Beer lovers want options that fit seamlessly into their lives that are fresh, affordable, and fun. Pinter turns brewing into an effortless ritual.
Subscriptions make Pinter even stickier. New users can get a free machine (or two) upfront in exchange for committing to regular refills. Flexibility is key: customers can vary the amount and cadence of their orders. . “Our subscription customers quickly get into the ritual of brewing on Pinter, are very loyal, and tend to brew quite a number of batches per year,” Benner notes. Retention stays high because the variety and quality keep it engaging. No monotony, just reliable results.
Breweries are embracing it as a collaborative opportunity rather than competition. “We’re building a platform for brands,” Benner says. “We partner with breweries to offer unique products available to Pinter customers throughout the year. It’s a win-win: we get to leverage the brand equity from these great brands, and in exchange we offer a royalty program for the breweries to share in the sales of our collaborative beers.”
Internationally, partnerships include heavyweights like Guinness, BrewDog, and even Iron Maiden’s Trooper. In 2026, US customers can expect recipes from numerous craft breweries big and small. These collabs let fans brew beer from iconic brands fresh at home, extending brand reach straight into kitchens nationwide.
For U.S. craft brewers, Pinter represents a fresh opportunity: growing the craft audience, creating new revenue streams through royalties, and delivering the greatest at-home beer experience available today.
