Vita Coco has launched an internal investigation of its product line after a New York woman reported finding a foreign object — what she called an “octopus looking thing” in her coconut water — prompting a media frenzy after a Facebook post last month that has now been shared more than 52,000 times.

The company, now in its 11th year of business and today available in 30 countries, is strengthening its leadership and management in key and emerging markets.
Packaged in Vita Coco’s familiar 500 mL Tetra Pak carton, the beverage will be made available exclusively at Kroger supermarkets through the end of the summer.
