Stratus Group – a diversified, premium beverage company – announced that Louisa Lawless will join the team as its first Chief Strategy Officer in the Los Angeles office.

Standing out in the crowded bottled water category is no easy task. But in just over two years, alkaline water brand Perfect Hydration says it’s experiencing rapid growth in the Southern California market. This year, the brand is aiming to replicate that regional success as it moves to scale nationwide and begins competing head-on with some of the segment’s biggest names.

In an interview at the NACS 2018 show, which was held Oct. 7-10 in Las Vegas, Jared Smith, the VP of Sales for beverage developer and incubator Stratus Group, which markets canned kombucha maker KÖE and alkaline water brand Perfect Hydration, said that while the brand’s shelf-stability may be attractive to current kombucha drinkers, the products are specifically formulated to attract new consumers to the category.
