Playboy Energy Drink to be Available in the Midwest

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Playboy Energy Drink’s availability continues to increase with the announcement that Garden Foods Distributors of Dearborn, Michigan will distribute the product throughout Michigan.

Garden Foods, which traditionally serves retail and convenience stores, is also bringing Playboy Energy Drink to on-premise locations, said Jay Barada, who heads the company.

The signing of the contract with Garden Foods is the third new distribution agreement for Play Beverages, LLC ( in the U.S. in recent weeks. The other agreements included distributors in Northern and Southern California and in the New York/New Jersey area.

“Playboy Energy Drink has momentum,” said Robert Nistico, president of Play Beverages. “It’s no surprise that seven new top domestic distributors have added product to their beverage lines,” he said, noting that Play Beverages is “on-target to bring Playboy Energy Drink coast-to-coast by the end of 2010.”

“We’re giving distributors the incredibly popular Playboy name on the label,” Mr. Nistico said, “and we’re giving consumers a product favored by more than 90% of those in taste tests.”

Manufactured by Play Beverages, Playboy Energy Drink is available in 8.4- and 16-ounce sizes in regular and sugar free. It was introduced in late 2007, and is currently distributed in 11 countries outside the U.S., primarily in Europe and the Middle East.
