Just in time for National Iced Tea Month, award winning bottled tea now available in 31 states
Popular organic tea line makes debut in time for June observance
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (June 4, 2010) – Over 85 percent of all tea consumed in the United States is iced, and now Americans have a greater choice then ever available to them with the introduction of China Mist Pure Organic Bottled Teas and China Mist Brew-at-Home Iced Teas. Previously only available in Arizona and California, customers in 29 additional states will be able to experience the wow factor that China Mist Pure brings.
This line of bottled tea offers six full-bodied and flavorful varieties with no sweeteners, additives or artificial preservatives and with little or no calories. The line includes Wild Blueberry Green Tea, Orange Blossom Ginger White Tea, Lotus Pear Green Tea and Dragon Fruit Black Tea- all unsweetened with zero calories, carbs or sugars. Two teas are mixed with organic juice and contain only 40 calories- Tangerine Black Tea with Pomegranate Juice and Blackberry Jasmine Green Tea with Lemonade. All are organic, kosher and halal certified.
“We are getting a great response from customers because China Mist Pure is unlike anything else on the market,” said president and chief executive officer Rommie Flammer. “We developed China Mist Pure to answer the call of tea connoisseurs everywhere who’ve been looking for gourmet iced tea in a bottle with nothing else added. At the time of development, most other offerings were sweetened or diet teas. Our customers want simply gourmet iced tea in a bottle, and now customers across the country will be able to enjoy our six flavorful organic teas on the go and in their favorite restaurants.”
China Mist Pure Bottled Organic Teas and China Mist Brew-at Home Iced Teas will now be available in California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, New Mexico, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio, Mississippi, Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts through KeHe Distibutors, UNFI and Haddon House. The teas were previously available in select markets through Whole Foods, AJ’s Fine Foods and Market Street.
“All six varieties of China Mist Pure are very high in polyphenol antioxidants, which studies have concluded are effective in reducing the growth of cancerous cell tissue as well as provide protection from Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s,” said Flammer.
The suggested foodservice price for China Mist Pure Bottled Organic Teas is $5-7 and retail price is $2.79-2.99. It is served in a contemporary hourglass 16.9 oz glass bottle. China Mist Brew-at-Home Iced Teas have a suggested retail price of $4.99-6.99.
China Mist Pure has already won two awards for its fabulous tea and bottle design; a silver World Beverage Award for 2008-2009 in the tea category and the 2010 SOFI silver award winner for the Lotus Pear Green Tea blend.
