XYIENCE Reaches Unprecedented Audience with UFC Debut on Fox on Saturday, Nov 12, 2011

LAS VEGAS (November 23, 2011)XYIENCE is the maker of Xenergy, the official energy drink of the UFC, and on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 when the UFC debuted on FOX in front of a record-setting audience of 5.7 million viewers XYIENCE’s logo was prominently displayed on the mat of the octagon. The heavyweight championship bout, UFC® on FOX: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos, checks in as the most-watched UFC event of all time as well as the most watched professional fight of any kind on television since 2003.

On Saturday evening when challenger Junior Dos Santos left the octagon victorious, XYIENCE officials say it was also a big win for the brand.

“This was more than putting 5.7 million sets of eyes on our logo,” says XYIENCE president John Lennon.  “The production gave viewers tremendous insight into the athletes and the sport. It introduced a huge audience to the culture of MMA that our brand is very much a part of,” he says, noting that XYIENCE’s relationship with UFC is a key factor in the brand’s growth.  XYIENCE’s sugar-free energy drink Xenergy is currently one of the fastest growing brands in the energy drink category.

FOX recently announced its 2012 UFC on FOX schedule, which includes a two-hour broadcast on January 28 from Chicago’s United Center. Other dates include May 5, August 4 and December 8, 2012.
