Truvia Renews ANP Foundation Sponsorship

MINNEAPOLIS – Cargill has announced that its Truvia sweetener brand, with natural sweetness from the stevia leaf, has renewed its role as the Presenting Sponsor of the American Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Foundation’s “Simply Health In Practice” (SHIP) initiative. SHIP is focused on providing healthy living resources for nurse practitioners and their patients. The SHIP website, found at, provides nurse practitioners with tools, tips and ideas to help effect positive change for their own wellness and for the health of their patients.

“As health care providers, nurse practitioners are in a great position to help their patients take ownership of their health,” said Margaret Crump, the ANP Foundation’s chief operations officer. “Support from the Truvia sweetener brand helps us provide them with valuable new resources and tools.”

Truvia sweetener, America’s number one zero-calorie natural sweetness solution, is available to consumers in a number of forms – sachets, a spoonable jar and a baking blend. It also is an ingredient in a growing number of foods and beverages, such as Glaceau’s vitaminwater zero and Hansen’s Natural drink stix.

“The Truvia sweetener brand is excited to partner with the ANP Foundation on such an important initiative,” said Pam Stauffer, global marketing programs manager, Cargill Health and Nutrition. “The Truvia brand is committed to providing products that support a healthy lifestyle, and we understand the important role nurse practitioners play in helping their patients make healthy choices.”

The Truvia sweetener team manages a comprehensive healthcare professional outreach program to support product growth for food and beverage customers, who include the Truvia brand on their packaging.

“The response from healthcare professionals across many disciplines, from nurses to doctors to dietitians, has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Stauffer. “They are thrilled to learn more about all of our co-brand partners’ great-tasting products that contain Truvia stevia leaf extract.”
