LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Before Rooibee Roo, a new line of kids tea from Rooibee Red Tea, was made available to the public, the company delivered 100 cases to Kosair Children’s Hospital. Like its parent line Rooibee Red Tea, Rooibee Roo is USDA certified organic, naturally caffeine-free bottled rooibos tea high in antioxidants, like vitamin C. Each eight ounce, BPA-free plastic bottle contains zero fat, less than 60 calories and only 12 grams of organic cane sugar. Rooibee Roo’s three flavors (mango, cherry and orange) are something kids enjoy drinking and parents know offer unique health benefits.

“We’re pleased Rooibee Red Tea chose our patients at Kosair Children’s Hospital as the first to receive Rooibee Roo,” said Lynnie Meyer, MSN, R.N., CFRE, executive director of the Children’s Hospital Foundation. “The Rooibee Red Tea team has been incredibly generous in supplying several areas of our hospital so that our families will have another, lower-sugar alternative.”

Now that the kids at Kosair Children’s Hospital are enjoying their Rooibee Roo, families can purchase their own bottles at all Heine Brothers’ locations and the St. Matthews Community Pharmacy in Louisville, and various restaurants in Louisville and Lexington.  It will be available online and in select grocery stores mid-summer.
