Britain’s Cawston Press to Make Stateside Debut in 2016

sparking-drinks-products-4Cawston Press is heading across the pond. The London-based brand of fresh pressed juice beverages will be making its United States debut in March of 2016.

Now, as the official importer for Cawston Press for North America, Randy Shefshick will seek to leverage the existing distribution network for Something Natural and his Mocked Up line of mocktails to introduce the U.K. brand to American consumers.

Cawston Press’ newest range of sparkling beverages will be the first to touch down stateside, where it will compete for shelf space with other brands in the natural soda segment like Spindrift, GuS Soda, Sipp and recently rebranded Dry Sparkling. In a call with BevNET, Shefshick pointed to the unique flavor profiles of Cawston Press’ fresh-pressed sodas – Elderflower Lemonade, Ginger Beer, Cloudy Apple and Rhubarb – that will allow the product to stand out in a category that continues to grow as consumption of traditional carbonated soft drinks in the U.S. declines.

“From a formula perspective, a flavor perspective and its branding, it’s really differentiated from a lot of the other players in the space,” Shefshick said.

Shefshick also added that he plans to roll out Cawston Press’ other offerings later down the line, following up the U.S. launch of its sodas with the introduction of its juice blends, and later on its children’s line of beverages.
