August 27, 2015 – Essentia Water, the leading alkaline water brand in the United States, is the official water of Clif Bar CrossVegas, a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) World Cup event that takes place Sept. 16, 2015 in Las Vegas. The only UCI World Cup event in North America, CrossVegas is the largest annual cyclo-cross race in the U.S. and happens alongside the Interbike International Bike Expo, held annually in Las Vegas. Competitors include the world’s top-ranked cyclists and multiple national and UCI world champions.
As a part of its sponsorship, Essentia Water will receive exposure online. At CrossVegas, the brand will be hydrating the race’s international field of competitors and attendees in the VIP area. The event also serves as a kick off of Essentia’s Southern Nevada “hydration patrol”, who will be on-site engaging with the event’s 10,000 spectators from around the United States. Earlier this year, Essentia Water launched a distribution partnership with Nevada Beverage in Las Vegas.

Launched in 2007, CrossVegas attracts competitors from more than 15 nations with teams of eight men and eight women from each nation competing in the elite categories. The race features a variety of terrains like pavement, grass, steep hills and barriers, requiring cyclists to dismount in order to navigate obstacles, then remount their bicycles to finish the race.
