Todd O’Gara, Founder, President and Chairman of wanu, alongside a sales team led by Craig Olkiewicz, boosted the company’s retail distribution by 25 percent during the second quarter of 2018, a significant increase not only for the brand, but within the enhanced beverage category. The increase is due in part to the onboarding of six major accounts including Raley’s, Save Mart, Fred Meyer, Smith’s, Shaw’s and Giant Eagle, totaling nearly 2,200 store locations and expanding the brand’s footprint into the Pacific Northwest, Northwest Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Looking ahead to the fourth quarter and into 2019, wanu’s expansion at retail includes a 30-store test with Target in California and Texas, distribution in the New York City metro area at Fairway and 350 H-E-B locations in Texas. In January 2019, wanu will launch in over 4,000 CVS stores, an expansion that will generously grow the brand’s nationwide reach.
