Liquid Death has signed with the Big one.
The beverage brand has entered an exclusive, long term distribution agreement with New York metro area DSD house Big Geyser.
“Liquid Death is the next big beverage giant, successfully playing in three categories and soon adding energy as a fourth,” said Big Geyser COO Jerry Reda in a press release. “Their culture-defining marketing is perfectly aligned with the high energy of our company and New York. We are thrilled to bring Big Geyser’s unmatched execution to this iconic brand, and we look forward to cementing Liquid Death as a powerhouse on the East Coast.”
The partnership comes as Liquid Death prepares to launch its latest innovation in January: a line of sparkling energy drinks containing an “unextreme” 100 mg of caffeine per 12 oz. can.
As Liquid Death has continued to grow its position as a major water, sparkling water and RTD tea brand in the U.S., the company has been focused on new avenues for retail expansion, bringing on Michael Fine as Chief Retail Officer last year and naming Marisa Bertha as Chief Strategy Officer with brick-and-mortar growth as a key focus.
That move accompanied a restructuring of the brand’s sales and distribution team, which led to a number of layoffs from the department, with CEO Mike Cessario telling BevNET at the time that the company has been looking to rely more on its distribution partners for in-store execution.
In Big Geyser, Liquid Death now has a heavyweight distributor with a record for working with high profile, fast growing brands and includes Celsius, Poppi, C4 and Spindrift in its current portfolio.
“Working with Big Geyser brings us the top operator in NYC and New York distribution and new reach for our brand in the world’s most influential market,” said Cessario in the release. “We’re the first and only non-alcoholic beverage brand built on comedy, and we’re continuing to scale our brand with a robust innovation pipeline for 2026, including launching our better-for-you energy drink line. As we prepare to enter this new category, Big Geyser is the perfect partner for this next chapter of growth.”
Liquid Death’s business in New York also earned a bump this year when the company partnered with the MSG Family of Companies to sell the brand in Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall in New York, the Sphere in Las Vegas, and other major entertainment venues.
