Energy drink producer Red Bull announced it has added recent seasonal limited-edition varieties to its permanent lineup and is bringing a new LTO can with its NBA athlete-ambassador, Pascal Siakam.
Two limited-run releases, Iced Edition and Peach Edition (formerly Winter Edition Iced Vanilla Berry and Summer Edition White Peach), have joined Red Bull’s portfolio full-time. The permanent editions will be available nationwide in 8.4 oz. and 12 oz. cans, sold individually as well as multi- and variety packs.
That’s not the only news growing “wiiings” this week.
Professional basketball player Pascal Siakam, who has partnered with Red Bull since 2020, will now have his own LTO Red Bull commemorative can. Starting this week, 8.4- and 12-ounce cans imprinted with Indiana Pacers star will be sold exclusively in his team’s home state through March.
In October, Red Bull unveiled a similar commemorative can with Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, its first LTO with a collegiate athlete.
In conjunction with NBA all-star’s LTO launch, Red Bull is offering an exclusive mobile game on the company website. The immersive endless runner game allows gamers to try Pascal’s signature spin move, encouraging people to “spin like Siakam” for a chance to win to meet Pascal.
The brand posted dollar sales up 6.1% and volumes rising 7.4% in the two-week period ending December 27, according to the latest analysis of NielsenIQ data by Goldman Sachs Equity Research.
