LOVINGSTON, VA (August 10, 2017) – Virginia Distillery Company, an American single malt whisky distillery nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Lovingston, Virginia, announced today that its award-winning flagship whisky Port Cask Finished Virginia-Highland Whisky is now available in many restaurants, bars and liquor stores in a number of new states, including Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan and D.C.

The distillery is currently crafting an American Single Malt at the distillery, made from 100% malted barley and aged in ex-bourbon, Sherry and re-toasted wine casks that have been resting since 2015. At the distillery, Virginia Distillery Company offers the Virginia Whisky Experience where guests can learn about the history of single malt whisky in Scotland, as well as in Virginia. The guided tour starts in the distillery’s whisky museum, and while on the tour guests also visit the distillery and cask house and enjoy a tasting.The late Dr. George G.
