BENEO Announces Price Increase for Prebiotic Ingredients Insulin and Oligofructose

September 9, 2011 — BENEO, a leading manufacturer in functional ingredients, announced today a price increase for its prebiotic fibers, inulin and oligofructose. The list price of these ingredients will increase by eight percent as of January 2012.

BENEO’s inulin and oligofructose prices have remained stable for the past two years during which the company was subject to inflation as well as rising costs in energy and raw materials; mainly chicory root in Belgium and Chile, from which BENEO’s inulin and oligofructose are derived.
