Rich Grimley named Rexam Beverage Can North America (BCNA) President and CEO

CHICAGO – July 11, 2012 – As Rexam announced last week in its divestiture of its Personal Care plastics operations, the company will be restructuring parts of its business to reflect the beverage can sales base and to enable stronger regional focus.

This will include Rich Grimley being named Rexam Beverage Can North America (BCNA) President and CEO. Rich replaces Andre Balbi, former leader of both Rexam’s can businesses in North and South America, who, as a result of the re-organization, will be returning to South America and leaving the company by the end of the year.

Rich joined Rexam in 2001 as VP of Manufacturing and gained roles of increasing responsibility culminating in his most recent position as Chief Operating Officer for the company’s North and South American beverage can operations.

Rich previously worked for National Can, American National Can, Reynolds Metals and Ball Corporation in various operations leadership roles.  He was also a principal owner of Bev-Pak, Inc., a beverage can manufacturer.

Rich was raised in the Chicago suburbs and is a 1980 graduate of the University of Iowa. He received his MBA in 1984, from Benedictine University. Rich and his family will remain based in Chicago.
