Chlorophyll Water’s new partnership with Superior Beverage Group expands the brand’s DSD network across 58 Ohio counties and more than 13,000 retailers, strengthening its presence across Ohio and the broader Midwest.
NEW YORK, NY — Chlorophyll Water, the first bottled water in the U.S. to pass Clean Label Project Certification, and a pioneer in the chlorophyll category, announced a new distribution partnership with Superior Beverage Group, a leading beverage distributor serving Central and Northeastern Ohio.
Superior Beverage Group distributes beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages across Central and Northeastern Ohio, with primary distribution centers in the Columbus and Cleveland markets. Founded in 1922, Superior Beverage Group has deep roots in Ohio and a long history of distributing leading beverage brands throughout the state.
The partnership marks another important step in Chlorophyll Water’s continued expansion through best-in-class DSD partners across key U.S. markets. Superior Beverage Group serves 58 Ohio counties and more than 13,000 retailers, giving Chlorophyll Water an expanded route-to-market across grocery, convenience, natural, fitness, wellness, and independent retail accounts throughout Ohio.
The Ohio market is especially strategic for Chlorophyll Water, as the brand’s warehouse operations are also based in Ohio, allowing for a more efficient route-to-market, stronger replenishment capabilities, and improved service levels for retailers throughout the state.
“Chlorophyll Water has seen tremendous momentum across Ohio and the broader Midwest, with growing demand from both independent retailers and larger regional grocery chains,” said Matt Levine, Founder of Chlorophyll Water. “Partnering with Superior Beverage Group gives us the ability to build the brand the right way across Ohio, move faster, support retailers more efficiently, and continue meeting the growing demand we’re seeing for Clean Label Project-certified, greener hydration.”
Chlorophyll Water has continued to gain momentum across retail, e-commerce, and social commerce, with growing demand from consumers seeking clean-label, functional beverages. The brand was recently recognized as a finalist for “Emerging Brand of the Year” by the California Grocers Association, named a “2026 Top Trending Brand of the Year” by Spate Market Research (an AI consumer forecasting platform), ranked #9 out of 90,000 brands on RangeMe’s “Top 50 Food & Beverage Brands” list, and ranked in “TikTok Shop’s Top 5,000 List,” ranking #203 in Total GMV and #208 in Video GMV, with the brand’s social commerce momentum increasingly translating into stronger retail demand and sales velocity.
Chlorophyll Water was also recently selected to compete for “Emerging Brand of the Year” at the upcoming Nourishing Change Conference, founded by Kroger, taking place in early June.
Chlorophyll Water is currently available at leading retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods Market (NE), Wegmans, Meijer, Erewhon, GIANT, Bristol Farms, Mother’s Market, Earth Fare, Happier Grocery, and other grocery, natural, wellness, fitness, and e-commerce channels. Most recently, the brand received Walmart’s “Golden Ticket” out of more than 12,000 applicants and is launching in 300+ Walmart locations, with upcoming launches at Harris Teeter, Hy-Vee, Nude Miami, Nugget Market, and Winn-Dixie. Chlorophyll Water is also set to launch its 16 oz aluminum cans through Misfits Market in June 2026.
Chlorophyll Water is made with purified water, chlorophyll sourced from alfalfa, and vegan vitamins A, B12, C, and D3. The brand is packaged in bottles made from 100% recycled plastic and is plastic neutral through its partnership with rePurpose Global.
The partnership with Superior Beverage Group further strengthens Chlorophyll Water’s national DSD strategy as the brand continues to expand with regional distribution partners across the country, building a stronger route-to-market and bringing cleaner, greener functional hydration to more consumers nationwide.
