SAN ANTONIO, TX — May 27, 2026 — WaterOuai!, a new hydration brand founded by Supergoop! creator Holly Thaggard and her son Will Thaggard, launches today with a focus on rethinking one of the most overlooked aspects of daily wellness: the packaging behind the water we drink. Built on a prevention-first philosophy and developed with a materials-first approach, WaterOuai! introduces pure artesian water sourced from the Edwards Aquifer, a 70-million-year-old limestone formation in the Texas Hill Country, and packaged in a thoughtfully designed aluminum can. As awareness grows around everyday environmental exposure, the brand offers a more considered option for consumers seeking greater transparency in the products they use.

At the center of the brand is the SUPERCAN™, designed with a uniform interior barrier applied before the can is formed. This creates a more consistent lining and reflects a broader shift toward intentional materials and design, supported by a production process that reduces water use, lowers emissions, and avoids solvent-based curing.

“WaterOuai! started with a simple idea: everyday habits should support long-term health,” says Holly Thaggard, co-founder of WaterOuai! and founder of Supergoop!. “Hydration is one of the most consistent habits in our lives, yet the packaging hasn’t evolved at the same pace as the broader wellness conversation. With a prevention-first mindset that also shaped Supergoop!, we saw an opportunity to bring a more thoughtful, intentional approach to something people use every day.”

A Materials-First Approach to Hydration

As awareness grows around everyday exposure, research suggests microplastics are present in many common food and beverage containers, with studies estimating over 200,000 microplastic particles per liter in plastic-bottled water. WaterOuai!’s SUPERCAN™ takes a different approach, reflecting a focus on thoughtful design and material integrity:

  • Uniform barrier design: A solid PET barrier is applied to the aluminum before the can is formed, resulting in a more consistent, durable lining designed to help prevent chemical transfer into the water

  • Thoughtful production process: Designed to reduce water usage, lower emissions, and avoid solvent-based curing methods

  • Material integrity: Made without BPA (or other bisphenols), PFAs, phthalates, or solvent-based coatings

From SPF to H2O: A Prevention Philosophy Applied to Hydration

The idea for WaterOuai! began with Will. At a young age, he attended a school assembly on microplastics and everyday materials, which sparked a deeper curiosity about how often these exposures show up in daily life. That awareness led him to question something as routine as drinking water, and ultimately inspired a more thoughtful approach to hydration. What started as a simple question evolved into a broader perspective on everyday habits and the role materials play in them.
