CORVALLIS, Ore. – June 30, 2026 — 2 Towns Ciderhouse earned two of the Northwest Cider Cup's highest honors, receiving Large Cidermaker of the Year and Best of Show for its limited-release 15th Anniversary Cider. In addition to producing the competition's top overall cider, the cidery earned ten more medals across a wide range of styles, highlighting the breadth and consistency that define its award-winning portfolio.
Founded by cidermakers and organized by the Northwest Cider Association, the Northwest Cider Cup celebrates the region's finest commercial ciders and perries. This year's competition featured 236 entries from across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and British Columbia, with only 25 percent earning medals following a rigorous blind evaluation by trained industry judges.
The Best of Show winner was selected through an additional round of blind tastings among all Gold medal-winning ciders, with judges selecting one cider as the competition's top overall entry. 2 Towns Ciderhouse’s 15th Anniversary Cider earned the honor, showcasing a blend of rare heirloom apples crafted to celebrate the company's 15th anniversary.
“Awards like these are really about the people and the fruit behind the cider,” said Dave Takush, head cidermaker at 2 Towns Ciderhouse. “Great cider starts with exceptional fruit, and our anniversary cider lets us work with heirloom apples that most people have never heard of but make incredible cider. This honor recognizes all the people who work to bring our cider from the orchard to the glass and is a testament to their hard work and dedication today and throughout the past 15 years of cider making.”
In addition to Best of Show and Large Cidermaker of the Year, 2 Towns earned four Gold, three Silver and three Bronze medals:
Gold
15th Anniversary – Low-Tannin Ciders (Dry)
Original Cosmic Crisp – Low-Tannin Ciders (Sweet)
Ginja Ninja – Botanical / Herbed / Spiced / Hopped
2022 Pommeau – Specialty Wood/Oaked/Fortified

Bronze

Kingston Black Single Varietal (2025 Vintage) – Single Varietal

“Competitions like the Northwest Cider Cup celebrate more than great cider—they celebrate the growers, makers and community that continue to push the category forward,” Takush said. “It's exciting to be part of a region that keeps raising the bar for American cider.”
With Best of Show recognition and medals spanning a broad range of cider styles, 2 Towns Ciderhouse continues to demonstrate the craftsmanship and consistency that have made it one of the country's most awarded cider producers.
