The first bottled water in the U.S. to pass Clean Label Project Certification expands its California retail footprint amid national growth, rising consumer demand, and strong category tailwinds.
NEW YORK, NY — Chlorophyll Water, the first bottled water in the U.S. to pass Clean Label Project Certification and a pioneer in the chlorophyll category, today announced its launch at all 17 Nugget Market locations across Northern California.
Nugget Market, a family-owned grocer founded in Woodland, California, in 1926, is known for its curated selection of high-quality perishables, specialty grocery items, organics, chef-prepared foods, and premium wellness-forward products. The retailer serves communities across the Sacramento Valley, Marin County, and Sonoma County.

Chlorophyll Water is made with purified water, chlorophyll sourced from alfalfa, and essential vitamins A, B12, C, and D3. The brand is packaged in bottles made from 100% recycled plastic with CleanFlake label technology and is Plastic Neutral through its partnership with rePurpose Global. Chlorophyll Water also recently launched its new 16 oz aluminum can format.
The Nugget Market launch comes during a period of significant growth for Chlorophyll Water and increasing consumer interest in chlorophyll. The chlorophyll extract market is forecasted to grow at an 8.0% CAGR through 2030 — approximately 40% faster than the U.S. bottled water market, forecasted at a 5.7% CAGR through 2030 — and also ahead of the coconut water market, forecasted at a 5.13% CAGR through 2030.
Chlorophyll Water has also earned a series of recent accolades and momentum indicators.
