8 New Whiskeys Debuting This Dry January

Dry January may be in full swing, but that hasn’t stopped spirits brands from rolling out new offerings. In this roundup of new whiskey releases, Fercullen Irish Whiskey makes its U.S. debut, Woodford Reserve unveiled this year’s edition of Double Double Oaked Bourbon and Bhakta releases a whiskey inspired by financier J.P. Morgan.

Duncan Taylor

Scotland-based Duncan Taylor Scotch Whiskey has announced the newest release from its “Rarest Collection,” a Macallan 52-Year-Old Scotch Whiskey. Bottled at 82.92 proof, the LTO was liquid aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for several decades before being transferred into ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Terlato Artisan Spirits

Terlato Wine Group has expanded its Artisan Spirits Portfolio with the addition of Dublin Ink Irish Whiskey. According to the brand, the new offering was inspired by “the ink and warpaint adorning Irish warriors as they were led into battle” and features tasting notes of vanilla. Distilled at 90 proof, Dublin Ink Irish Whiskey is exclusively available in New York, Chicago and select locations in California for $54.99 per 750ml bottle. The GlenDronach Distillery

The GlenDronach Distillery announced the 11th release of its Cask Strength Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey. The 11th batch is a sherried whiskey matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. Fercullen

Powerscourt Estate’s Fercullen Irish Whiskey has splashed into the U.S. market through a new distribution partnership with Zamora Company USA. Fercullen’s flagship line, Fercullen Falls, is a small-batch 50/50 blend of malt and grain whiskeys. BHAKTA spirits announced the limited launch of its BHAKTA 50 Collection Barrel 23 Morgan whiskey.
