Distribution shakeups this fall include a new craft portfolio addition for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (SGWS) and Anheuser-Busch (A-B) distributors, a few ready-to-drink (RTD) brands hitting major retailers, plus an interesting on-premise partnership for Elizabeth Banks’s canned wine.
Archer Roose Wines Hits The Sports Bar
Fast-growing canned wine brand Archer Roose is now available nationwide at casual dining restaurant and sports bar chain Buffalo Wild Wings. Starting in August, Archer Roose Wines’ Pinot Noir began pouring at 1,225 Buffalo Wild Wings locations across all 50 states.
Archer Roose Wines’ new relationship with Buffalo Wild Wings comes as the brand expands its footprint to six new states – Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota – and marks its full national on-premise availability.
The “ideal” partnership will provide Buffalo Wild Wings’ “increasingly female guests with exceptional quality wines,” said Marian Leitner-Waldman, CEO and founder of Archer Roose Wines.
The canned wine brand has found a niche in on-premise chains including Regal Theaters, Levy-operated concession stands at stadiums and venues nationwide, Dave & Busters, OTG-operated restaurants at select airports and more.
The placement coincides with Archer Roose naming California Beverage Solution (CBS) as its statewide distributor partner.
ISCO Join SGWS
An innovative spirits company with enough food-inspired distillations to make a four-course liquid dinner is headed to the Big Apple with SGWS.
Beginning this month four of ISCO Spirits’ products will be available for consumers to enjoy across New York, in addition to Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and Maine. Those spirits include the Ostreida Oyster Vodka, Seaflow Ocean Gin, Fresh Dill Aquavit and Pizza Vodka – the company’s latest and buzzy launch, and the world’s first pizza-flavored vodka.
Good Boy Vodka Hops On A-B Network
RTD breakout star Good Boy Vodka has transitioned to the A-B distributor network in Illinois through new partnerships with Lakeshore Beverage and Hand Family Companies.
This transition is part of a larger distribution strategy, as Good Boy Vodka also joins the Hand Family Companies distribution groups across additional states. The company announced last month it was moving its distribution to California Beverage Solution (CBS), also a network of primarily A-B distributors.
Other notable news:
- Mission Craft Cocktails is now available at VONS and Albertsons Companies.
- Bluebird Hardwater and Casalú are rolling out into Florida’s Whole Foods Markets.
Editor’s note: This article originally stated that Deko Cocktails has expanded with SGWS in California, but the agreement has since “fallen through.”
