Cranberry Apple

Product Type:Functional: Energy Drink: Regular; Container: 16 oz can
BevNET Review: Cranberry Apple is USDA Organic and Fair Trade Certified energy drink that is going for a more adult (aka lighter) flavor than your typical energy drink. Made with 5 percent juice, including apple and cranberry, the product has a very natural taste to it, with no energy bite. Still, it packs a kick, with 160mg of caffeine, guarana, ginseng, and B vitamins. Visually, the orange can looks professionally done and premium, which definitely sets the stage nicely for what’'s inside the can. Overall, we really like the approach and execution of this product -- it’'s definitely not just another energy drink.Reviewed on: 5/17/2012

Lemon Lime

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 16 oz Can
BevNET Review: The concept for Hi Ball’s Sparkling Energy Water is pretty simple – take carbonated water and add flavor and energy. The result is something that drinks like flavored seltzer water but has 160mg of caffeine (as well as ginseng and B vitamins) to give you a kick of energy. From a flavor perspective, this product goes down very easily, with the best comparison again being flavored seltzer. In this case, the product has a refreshing unsweetened lemon lime flavor that goes nicely with the crispness of the product'’s high level of carbonation. The packaging is the only thing that changed since we last looked at this product, with the 10 oz. glass bottle swapped out for a 16 oz. cold activated can. From an aesthetics point of view, the can isn'’t as eye catching as the glass, but it’'s much more practical in the sense that it is clear what the product is, you can read the label, and it’'s much more durable than a glass bottle. That said, we'’re sure that this product will perform better in its new packaging. Overall, a very solid and enjoyable product that offers a very unique approach to zero calorie energy.Reviewed on: 5/11/2012

Vanilla

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 16 oz Can
BevNET Review: We've been extremely fond of Hiball's approach to energy drinks and their Vanilla flavor is no exception. Following the same format as the other Hiball flavors, this one delivers a sugar- and sweetener-free formulation that's lightly flavored with vanilla. If you've ever had unsweetened flavored seltzer, this flavor should be very familiar to you. And given its lack of sweetener, it's the type of product that you can really pound down if you want to. The crisp flavor of the drink is extremely pleasing to the palate, with just the right amount of vanilla in the mix. Of course, that's not the only reason to drink this product — it's loaded with energy ingredients, including B vitamins, ginseng, guarana, and natural caffeine (160mg per can). It definitely packs an energy punch. On the outside, the new 16 oz. cold-activated can is a big improvement over the glass packaging that was previously used. It looks and feels like an energy drink, while making great use of the HiBall Energy logo. The white can, which is typically reserved for diet energy drinks, fits with the no sweetener zero calorie formulation. The result is something that feels upscale, but youthful and approachable. Overall, a very enjoyable drink.Reviewed on: 5/11/2012

Grapefruit

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 16 oz Can
BevNET Review: Editor's Note: HiBall’s Grapefruit is a zero calorie unsweetened energy drink that, like the other HiBall flavors, drinks very much like a flavored seltzer. This variety is on par with the others and it comes down to flavor preference for the buyer. Reviewed on: 5/11/2012

Wild Berry

Product Type:Functional: Energy Drink: Regular; Container: 16 oz Can
BevNET Review: Hi Ball’'s Wild Berry Sparkling Energy Drink is a sugar-sweetened organic energy drink made with 5 percent Concord grape juice. From a flavor perspective, this follows a similar style to the sparkling energy water flavors, with very light amounts of sweetness and fruit flavoring. At only 100 calories per can, Wild Berry still feels like something that is “light” in comparison to your typical energy drink. Functionally, it’'s the exactly the same as the rest of the line, with 160mg of caffeine, B vitamins, guarana, and ginseng. Visually, the plum colored can feels like something that might be more appropriate for a grape flavored drink, but it'’s not too far off. Otherwise, we find it slightly confusing that Hi Ball has two Wild Berry products (there’'s one in their sparkling energy water line as well). Overall, this is a very good tasting energy drink, but we prefer the sparkling energy waters. Reviewed on: 5/11/2012
