Chicago-based powdered and frozen beverage maker Jel Sert has acquired hydration drink brand All Sport from Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) for an undisclosed sum, the company announced this week. The company had been producing All Sport for KDP for several years prior to its acquisition of the brand last month.
In recent months, Big Red’s long-term efforts to balance its portfolio with more better-for-you brands in on-trend categories has begun to produce tangible results.
Big Red, America’s original and bestselling red soda, kicks off the grilling season and their 80th Anniversary with its “BBQ Across America” promotion. Known for its sweet and smooth flavor, Big Red drinkers love to pair the soft drink with bold flavors such as BBQ.
The campaign reinforces Big Red’s established association with BBQ and the brand’s 100 Days of BBQ summer promotion.

While contractual obligations initiated its divorce from the prizefighting powerhouse, the brand utilized its clean slate as an opportunity to reposition Xyience and veer away from a combat sport.
The collaboration between the nation’s sixth-largest soda company and the reset of the blockbuster action movie franchise will focus on driving awareness for “Terminator Genisys” in retail channels and social media.
