After years of declining sales and a retreading footprint, Steaz owner Nova Naturals, a subsidiary of Novamex, has brought on the organic iced tea brand’s original leaders to bring the brand back to a positive growth trajectory.
It’s a new year and a new look for ready-to-drink tea brand Steaz. The company, which operates as a part of Novamex-owned beverage portfolio subsidiary Nova Naturals, announced a rebrand this week that increases emphasis on the drink’s antioxidant content with a new design, formulation and new product launches.
In an effort to provide the best possible service, brands, flavors, and culture the teams at C2O Coconut Water, Steaz and Tio Gazpacho are excited to announce the formation of the NovaNaturals division of El Paso based parent company Novamex.
The expanded Steaz distribution does reach further across the U.S. via Giant Eagle, True North and Natural Grocers Vitamin Cottage.

Two years after its acquisition, organic green tea-based beverage brand Steaz has found the internal stability to support a revamp of its Cactus Water line and an expansion of its natural energy drink offerings.
This expansion builds on Steaz’s existing partnerships with Sprouts and New Seasons, where the brand’s Iced Green Tea and Organic Energy product lines are also currently available, while beginning a new one with Pharmaca.

The new Steaz Energy can designs prominently display the brand’s defining characteristics, with features such as “certified organic,” “Fair Trade,” and “energy,” ensuring customers who are seeking such products know exactly what they are picking up when grabbing a can of Steaz Energy.
Steaz CEO Linda Barron said the transaction “will provide the company with resources and strategic synergies to further accelerate the growth of the brand.”
Steaz is now available in more than 1,500 convenience stores across the country.
Documents obtained by BevNET indicate that Steaz has retained the services of First Beverage Financial, the investment banking arm of First Beverage Group, who have sought a $30 million minimum bid to acquire the company.
Steaz’s Cactus Water beverage line is the only certified organic cactus water product currently on the market.
