Gelson’s first opened in Burbank, CA, in 1951 and now includes 18 locations in its chain of premier supermarkets throughout Southern California. Raley’s, headquartered in Sacramento, CA, owns and operates 127 stores throughout California and Northern Nevada under the Raley’s, Bel Air Markets, and Nob Hill Foods names. Bristol Farms Markets, based in Los Angeles, has 13 stores in Northern and Southern California. The three chains specialize in gourmet and specialty foods.
