Distribution Roundup: New Age Rolls Out Marley Mate, Pulse Goes NW

Marley Mate Rolls Out to National Accounts

Last week, New Age Beverages Corporation announced that Marley Mate, a ready-to-drink yerba mate beverage that the company took on as part of its acquisition of the assets of Marley Beverage Company last November, will be expanding its presence through major distribution partners in the U.S.

In a press release, New Age stated that Southern California-based beverage distributor Haralambos Beverage Company will switch from a competing yerba mate product and begin carrying Marley Mate. Other distribution partners include Hensley, Folsom and Palmentere.

Marley Mate also received a commitment for launch from 7-Eleven in August. According to the release, production of the drink has been ramping up and initial shipments began last week.

“We have had to triple our initial production plans already, have additional commitments from other retailers already rolling out in 2018, and know we are just getting started,” said Terry Sperstad, senior vice president for key accounts at New Age, in a statement.

Marley Mate is the first new brand launch since New Age acquired Marley Beverage, but is unlikely to be the last: according to the release, the next Marley brand launching in Q4 has already been approved for distribution in major accounts as well.
