WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Island Company Rum, the award-winning, 5-times-distilled, ultra-premium blonde rum of the Caribbean, expands its reach throughout the East Coast. Partnering with Breakthru Beverage Group for distribution throughout Florida, Horizon Beverage for Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and Wolfpack Wine & Spirits in New York and New Jersey.
The gluten-free, no sugar, zero carb rum was created to fill a void in the luxury rum marketplace, creating an unbelievably smooth rum that appeals to both women and rum-drinking men alike.
Lifestyle brand Island Company’s Creative Director Spencer Antle, who founded the rum explains; “There was a conscious design direction in creating ICR’s unique taste in the blonde rum genre. I wanted to make the smoothest rum on the planet. I know it’s a big statement, but having drunk rum for a couple of decades, I felt that there wasn’t a real rum that the islander women I knew would drink straight. We work with 140 women at Island Company’s fashion division and none drank rum. I knew that if I got it smooth enough, without sacrificing proof, and women would drink it straight, we would be onto something. Then I knew my Caribbean rumheads would drink it like water. After 2 years of developing it,that’s what has been happening. It truly is simply the smoothest.”
Not to be dismissed as a side project for the fast-growing, worldwide apparel brand, Island Company Rum won Caribbean Journal’s “Best Gold Rum” Award, “Double Gold” at the Caribbean Rum Awards, Double Gold for “Best Gold Rum” at the SIP Awards, Platinum for “Best Packaging” at World Beverage Competition and Gold at The World Spirit Awards for “Best Light Rum”.
