FlavorHealth to Introduce Reb AMP and Reb MAZ Stevia Improvers at IFT Expo

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. — FlavorHealth, the flavors business of Chromocell, will be demonstrating its new Reb AMP and Reb MAZ natural flavors that improve taste challenges associated with Reb A and Reb M stevia sweeteners. Attendees are encouraged to talk to the company’s taste enhancement experts to learn more. In addition, FlavorHealth will demonstrate its Brite range of natural flavor modifiers that helps product developers reduce sugar, salt, lingering, bitterness and plant based off notes at IFT Expo 2018 in Chicago, July 16-18.

Since its inception, FlavorHealth has leveraged Chromocell’s expertise in taste enhancement to show that smart science, combined with creative art, helps food and beverage manufacturers improve some of their most challenging flavor profiles. As the experts in natural taste enhancement, FlavorHealth delivers solutions that can target singular taste attributes like bitterness or lingering or a combination of multiple taste challenges seen in several high intensity sweeteners and natural ingredients. The targeted solutions have been arrived from years of distilled sensory insights garnered by the leading company in natural flavor modulation technology.

Many brands today are trying to reduce sugar by using stevia sweeteners but significant taste challenges remain for the Reb A range of sweeteners as well as the more novel Reb M and Reb D based stevia sweeteners. FlavorHealth has now developed an innovative range of natural flavors that precisely solves taste challenges arising from stevia sweeteners. Reb AMP range has been developed to solve bitterness and lingering taste issues arising from Reb A based sweeteners and Rem MAZ range of natural flavor modulators have been developed to enhance the Reb M and Reb D sweetened beverages that suffer from lingering taste issues.

In addition to sugar reduction, many companies are also developing products with natural plant based ingredients. The Brite flavor modulator range has been developed to help the industry enable sugar and salt reduction while reducing off-notes arising from inclusion of many vegetable based proteins like pea proteins and minerals in food and beverage. FlavorHealth – the experts in taste enhancement – has the technology and expertise to help food and beverage developers and manufacturers accomplish their health-related goals and will be showcasing the following prototypes at IFT to demonstrate new innovations:

  • Stevia-sweetened energy beverage with reduced bitterness and sweet linger
  • Iced tea beverages showcasing a 30% & 80% sugar reduction
  • Salt reduced ranch pretzel snack
  • Protein-fortified muffins and cookies with the protein bitterness reduced.
