  • Former Pepsi-Cola vice president Joseph A. Juliano was arraigned Wednesday in federal court in White Plains after being indicted on charges of embezzling more than $600,000 from the company, the U.S. attorney said. Link


  • A growing number of states are moving to allow higher alcohol content in beer. Alabama and West Virginia have passed laws increasing the legal alcohol-by-volume cap for beer from 6 percent to as high as 13.9 percent this year. Similar efforts are underway in Iowa and Mississippi. Link
