August may be coming to a close, but the month has supplied enough new and innovative ready-to-drink cocktail releases to sustain drinkers well into the beginning of fall. In this gallery, we showcase a handful of notable new RTDs from the past month, highlighted by flavor extensions from Lifted Libations and Cutwater, Austin Cocktails making the move into cans and a category debut from Boston’s Bully Boy Distillers.
San Diego-based Cutwater is taking inspiration from the East Coast for its latest RTD cocktail release, Long Island Iced Tea. An elevated interpretation of the classic recipe — vodka, rum, gin and tequila with a splash of cola — each can contains 13.2% ABV. The product is available in retailers now in 4-packs for a suggested retail price of $12.99.
Cincinnati’s Sycamore Distilling has unveiled its new line of ready-to-drink cocktails in three varieties, each featuring one of their spirits. The lineup includes Sycamore Bourbon and Cola, Voltage Vodka Electric Mule and Cooper Island Markoe Bay Mojito. All three will retail for $13.99 for a 4-pack and will contain 8% ABV.
Creative agency CROWN Social is stepping into CPG with its first ever product release: Boo's Booze bottled cocktails, available in Pisco Punch, Passion Party, Gold Bargerita, Brazilian Mule and Mint Gin Fizz. The product is currently available in the greater Seattle area, with national shipping in the works.
Austin Cocktails Co.
Moving into cans for the first time, Austin Cocktails is set to release a new line of sparkling cocktails in 8.4 oz. cans, each with 12.5% ABV. The four initial offerings are Cucumber Vodka Mojito, Fred’s Ruby Red Sparkling Cocktail, and Bergamot Orange Sparkling Mojito. The line will be available in 14 states in 4-packs for a suggested retail price of $14.99-$15.99.
Bully Boy Distillers
This month saw the debut of Amaro Spritz (7% ABV), the first ready-to-drink cocktail from Boston-based Bully Boy Distillers. Available in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans for $14.99, the line is a seasonal release available at retailers throughout Massachusetts with Rhode Island.
Rocky Mountain Soda
Rocky Mountain Soda is entering the canned cocktail space under the Lifted Libations banner with two varieties, each made with organic vodka: Mile High Mule (ginger, lime, vodka) and Tee Time (tea, lemonade, vodka).
La Perla Cocktails
This month, Italian liqueur brand Don Ciccio & Figli began rolling a new line of ready-to-drink cocktails in the U.S. called La Perla. The first releases, inspired by recipes from the brand’s Washington, D.C. cocktail bar, Bar Sireni, include Negroni Classico, Negroni Blanco Oro and Ambrosia Spritz, La Perla Cherry Manhattan, and Walnut Old Fashioned and Fennel Sarezac.
Slalom Fox Cocktails
Slalom Fox is bringing its family of canned cocktails into a new format with the launch of mixed 4-packs of 12 oz. cans offering the brand’s Vodka Collins, Bourbon Revival, Gin Spritz and Whiskey Mule. Each cocktail has 7.9% ABV.
