In our opinion, one of the big reasons that cold brew tea hasn’t exactly found the same level of success as cold brew coffee is because it doesn’t yet have a noticeably different taste than its hot brewed counterpart. ITO EN, which is the Japanese company behind Matcha LOVE, is attempting to make an effort to change that.
Alta Palla has chosen to attack this category with a 16 oz. can. The size puts it on part with products that are packaged in plastic bottles. It’s hard to say if a non-resealable package of this size is going to beat out a smaller and perhaps more appropriately portioned sized can, but it is something that gives the product a visual point of differentiation.
While there are a growing number of nitro offerings out there, this is, given the extra technical hurdle of working with nitro, still a point of differentiation for now. Fortunately though, what Rise has created is one of the best tasting nitro cold brews out there.
The line, which originally featured a more squat looking bottle and brightly colored labels, has been given a refresh.
SaladPower is a product that was created after the company’s founders went around New York City looking for juice only to find two common themes: high sugar and high price.
Launched by the founders of Saint Archer Brewing, Villager Goods is a company that aims to launch a suite of lifestyle products under the brand. Since being acquired by Pure Steeps in 2016, Wonder Drink, which has been in the kombucha business since 1999, has been undergoing a bit of an evolution in both branding and messaging. Now months after the acquisition, the brand has added its first new flavors to the lineup.
The concept behind 4 Some seems like a timely one: take the good parts (namely the fruit flavor) of a cold-pressed and high pressure processed juice and add fiber and plant based protein to create a well-rounded beverage with a variety of benefits.
WTRMLN WTR has expanded its line with several new products, launching nationwide at Whole Foods. The new offerings are called BLNDS (“blends”) and feature a pairing of their watermelon water base blended with another ingredient: LMN (lemonade), CHRRY (tart cherry), LME (lime), and GNGR (ginger).
The nexus of drinkable soup and bone broth is something that works quite well and, after seeing and tasting what the company has created, feels like it might have larger potential than either concept does by itself.
While the size update is definitely a step forward for the brand, it’s the label update that we’re most excited about.
With Turmeric Golden-Milk already in its lineup, Rebbl’s latest offering, Turmeric Lemon Tart, clearly shows that the company sees opportunity in turmeric-based offerings.
